Leon Kirchner--composer and conductor. He was a student of Schoenberg at the University of California at Los Angeles. He taught at the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Southern California and Mills College. Since 1961 he has taught at Harvard University. He conducted the Marlboro Music Festival recording of Schoenberg's Opp. 9, 24.
